Philippines Day 2

We started our morning with a jog around the area. We had to lock everything up because we had so many valuables, it wasn’t worth the risk leaving it unlocked. My mom and Cha Lita stayed at the house. We didn’t get much sleep. I was sad and kinda depressed. I woke up crying silently so that I don’t wake my sister. I woke up at 3 am and got on the internet to talk to James. It’s so cool that he was able to set me up with my business soft phone and we can talk for free. Then I called the girls and it was so good to hear their sweet little voices. After that, I felt much better. So here we go our first full day here. After jogging, we took our cold shower. Wow we need our hot water. I know that most people here don’t need it because the weather is steadily warm, but we are just not used to it.

We went to look at houses today which one was of the main reasons why I went on this trip. The houses we saw were very nice, but I guess everything is small here. We headed to the Paseo and had lunch. I had my first glass of mango juice… yummy. We wrote our itenirary for the millionth time. We are doing the best we can to include our family members, but its so difficult to get everyone together because of their schedule. We ate a Filipino restaurant called Kanin Club. People here are tired of eating Filipino food, but that’s the only thing my sister and I want to eat since we don't eat much filipino food in the U.S. We are trying to adjust to the time difference and slept around 8:30.
