Philippines Day 6

We woke up in Manila and I was ready to get the heck out of there. I wanted to visit my grandmas grave but didn’t have time. We woke up kinda late, which was good considering that we didn’t have much plans to go out and get food or cook. We decided to walk to 7-11 to get some snacks before having lunch. Maryann wanted to meet up with her friend Ronnel and I wanted to meet up with Serafin. I believe that what brings people closer are the experience they go through. My sister was getting weary of my paranoia and I think that we were both tired of the city and having to feel like we need to watch our back so we got into a disagreement before we left. We quickly resolved it but we can tell that this trip has taken a toll on both of us. Just dealing with things for my mom was a roller coaster in itself. Figuring out how to get from one place to another is also stressful. So we finally get picked up and all 11 of us had lunch together. Maryann and I didn’t realize that Ronnel had 8 of his family members with him and I didn’t realize that Serafin was going to pay for our lunch and it was a bit embarrassing. Ronnell, Maryann and I all tried to offer to pay, but Serafin declined. I was excited and happy for one reason; we were going to be able to go back to our temporary home. Eric called and told me that he got me a ride. Hes so nice to me and has done his best to really accommodate us. Not to mention the fact that we are staying at cha vicky’s house. So Jok Jok takes us to Erics house and I met his wife and child. We didn’t have time to see my grandma’s grave because the car needed to be back by 7 pm and to get to one area takes hours. Home sweet home.
